Reach-in Coolers and Freezers are a major source of restaurant Refrigerating equipment. Food stored in coolers should not reach a temperature of 42 degrees Fahrenheit. Coolers are required to maintain 38 degrees to 42 degrees Fahrenheit. Reach- in Freezers should be between -5 degrees and 5 degrees Fahrenheit. Improperly maintained systems will cause food spoilage and serious bacteria accumulation inside of the storage area of the box itself.
