Refrigeration Equipment is a great example of keeping food for a longer period of time. We can eat dinner and still have leftovers for lunch or in my case breakfast. Refrigeration equipment can be from a small reach-in, in a college dorm or a warehouse such as Costco or Sam’s Club. These massive units can store enough products to ensure thousands of people can have food stored at proper temperatures so we as consumers can buy and take to our own house hold equipment.
Refrigeration equipment has to be maintained such as Preventative Maintenance Agreements. If not properly cleaned such as drain lines, freon levels, coils (evaporator and condensers) should all be taken care of. How many times have you either come home or go to work and your refrigeration equipment has shut down? You call a technician and find out the condenser coils were the only thing wrong and it took out that impressively priced compressor. Now you have lost the entire product form $300 to $1,000,000. Now you have to pay for a compressor change out with labor and materials from a qualified technician. This could have been prevented with a simple Preventative Maintenance Contract costing only a couple of hundred dollars per year.
