HVAC stands for Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning. It’s a big fancy word used in the industry, not to mention it’s easier to spell! HVAC categorizes just one of many acronyms used such as heat pumps, straight air, exhaust hoods, make-up air. HVAC is used in all of our everyday lives even not realizing it’s there. It’s odorless and tasteless if maintained properly.
HVAC can make us smile or make us the most miserable human beings ever. I’ve even seen HVAC in pool houses, doghouses, computer rooms, and rest rooms etc. HVAC is a creature comfort that was invented in ancient Egypt, when reeds were hung from openings that were saturated with water, when the wind blew through these openings it cooler the space. Since those times have evolved we no longer have to change out reeds, but filters, thank God for technology. Since 1902 Willis Carrier invented the first electrical air conditioner system so we can now live more comfortable.
